Mohsin Akhtar Mir, the former husband of actress Urmila Matondkar, has married Nidhaa Bhatt. Taking to Instagram, Mohsin shared a series of pictures from their intimate wedding ceremony.

Wedding Ceremony Details

The couple tied the knot in a traditional nikah ceremony, followed by a ring exchange in the presence of close friends and family. Sharing glimpses from the wedding ceremonies, Mohsin wrote a heartfelt caption expressing gratitude for his new wife.

In his Instagram post, Mohsin wrote, “Pure intentions, honest love, and a heart full of sabr and shukur. Keep your soul pure, heal along the way, and trust that Allah’s script is always better. In His perfect time, my gorgeous wifey @nidhab_, he rewarded me with your sincerity and blessed me. You brought light in my life. So thank you my love♥️🤗.”

He also remembered his mother and expressed gratitude for her blessings from afar. “And thank you, Mouji, for looking after me from the other side of the world. I know it’s your blessing and your love for me that came like this. Today I know you will be more at peace. I miss you more than I could ever imagine, and I love you. Keep us in your prayers. ❤️,” he wrote.

Mohsin and Urmila’s Marriage

Mohsin was previously married to actress Urmila Matondkar. They got married in 2016 after meeting at a family wedding hosted by designer Manish Malhotra. Their wedding garnered significant attention due to their 10-year age gap and interfaith marriage.

In September 2024, reports emerged of trouble in their marriage. According to sources, Urmila filed for divorce in a Mumbai court. The couple parted ways on mutual consent, and their divorce was granted after eight years of marriage. Neither of them publicly addressed the separation.

Who is Mohsin Akhtar?

Mohsin Akhtar is a businessman and model from Kashmir. He was the second runner-up at the 2007 Mr India pageant. He made his acting debut in the 2009 film It’s A Man’s World and featured in a minor role in Farhan Akhtar’s Luck By Chance.

After not finding much success in Bollywood, he transitioned to a successful business in Kashmiri embroidery, collaborating with Manish Malhotra’s label.
