Big gift from CM Yogi to people of UP, now ₹1500 will come to your account every month

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced major financial support for the elderly and women of the state. On Monday, marking ‘World Elder Abuse Awareness Day’, CM Yogi wrote an emotional letter to the people expressing his deep concern over the declining respect and increasing isolation of seniors in society. Through this letter, he also made significant financial announcements aimed at improving their lives.

CM Yogi emphasized that respecting elders is not merely a formality or ritual, but rather a fundamental cornerstone of Indian culture and Sanatan civilization. He reflected on modern society, noting that the growing distance between family members is increasingly troubling.

Growing Concern Over Changing Family Structures

In his letter, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed profound sorrow over the changing nature of family structures in contemporary society. He noted that many households are becoming empty and the number of old age homes in cities is rising continuously, a situation he described as deeply concerning for any civilized society.

He pointed out that parents who dedicate their entire lives to building their children’s futures often end up completely alone in their final years. Today’s fast-paced lifestyle forces youth to migrate for employment and career opportunities, preventing them from caring for aging parents even when they wish to. CM Yogi observed with concern that during these vulnerable times, the elderly suffer not only from lack of support but sometimes from mistreatment by their own family members. He noted that even India’s Supreme Court must now remind people of family responsibilities that were once fundamental to our culture.

Sacred Place of Parents in Indian Tradition

In his letter, the Chief Minister highlighted the profound values embedded in Indian culture. He emphasized that in Sanatan tradition, parents and Gurus have been revered with a status equal to God himself.

CM Yogi illustrated this point through the mythological example of Lord Shiva, Mother Parvati, and their son Lord Ganesha. He explained that when Lord Ganesha circumambulated his parents, considering them as the entire creation, he conveyed a universal message: all places of pilgrimage and worlds exist at the feet of parents. This wisdom, devotion, and elevated value system granted Ganesha the honor of being the first worshiped among all gods.

The Chief Minister also referenced the story of the devoted son Shravan Kumar and Lord Ram, who accepted 14 years of exile to honor his parents’ wishes and maintain their dignity. He noted that the tradition of seeking blessings by touching elders’ feet developed because seniors represent our greatest heritage of life experiences and values.

Monthly Pension and Healthcare Benefits Announced

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced a significant initiative to provide elderly and destitute women with dignified living conditions. The government has decided to provide a monthly pension of Rs 1500 to elderly and destitute women, with funds directly transferred to their bank accounts to ensure financial independence.

Beyond the pension, CM Yogi outlined comprehensive healthcare provisions for all destitute women in the state. They will be directly enrolled in ‘Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana’ and ‘Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana’ to receive free health services. Additionally, elderly and destitute women without permanent housing will be provided free homes under ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’ and ‘Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana’.
