IPL Final broke all records, RCB vs Gujarat Titans match became the most watched match till date
According to the official broadcaster, the recently concluded Indian Premier League received a record 1.2 billion viewers, an increase of seven percent on a year-on-year basis.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) won their second consecutive IPL title by defeating Gujarat Titans by five wickets in the final held in Ahmedabad.
IPL Final Breaks All Records
The RCB vs Gujarat Titans match became the most watched match to date. Jiostar reported that Tata IPL 2026 received more than 1.2 billion viewers, representing growth of seven percent on a year-on-year basis.
Viewers remained engaged throughout the season, with match viewing time reaching 870 billion minutes. The final doubled viewership and became the most watched Tata IPL match ever, with over 40 crore people watching on screen.
Digital Growth Continues
The 2026 season saw significant progress on digital screens. Connected TV grew 22 percent, while views on digital video reached 25 billion, marking an increase of eight percent year over year.
Regional matches also gained traction on digital platforms, with the share of viewing increasing by 33 percent.
