Meanwhile, on Friday night suddenly the bride disappeared from the house. The family came to know that she had gone away with her lover. It is being told that the girl had also taken jewelery with her while leaving home.
As soon as the information about the bride’s absconding was received, there was panic in the family. When the matter reached the groom’s side, people from both the families came face to face. The marriage was on the verge of breaking up. After this, relatives and responsible people of the village held a Panchayat for several hours. After much discussion and persuasion, both the parties agreed that the bride’s younger sister should be married to the groom, so that the marriage can take place and the honor of both the families is maintained.
