Delhi Crime News: The murder case of DU female professor in Vasundhara Enclave area of ​​Delhi has now been solved. Two people have been arrested in this case. In fact, a 45-year-old female professor of Shivaji College of Delhi University (DU) was brutally murdered in her own flat. Crossing all limits of cruelty, the killers not only made a fatal attack on the professor’s head, but also cut the wrists of both his hands. Revealing this heart-wrenching murder, Delhi Police has arrested a suspicious husband-wife (couple) from Kolkata, West Bengal. The arrested accused are said to be distant relatives of the female professor.
Dr. Debosmita Paul, originally from West Bengal, was an Assistant Professor in the English Department of Shivaji College, Delhi University. In the year 2023, he was appointed in this college located in Raja Garden. Debosmita, separated from her husband since 2022, was living alone on the sixth floor of her sister Devarti Paul’s flat in Vasundhara Enclave, while her husband lives in Bengaluru. On June 4 (Thursday), when Debosmita did not pick up her sister Deorti’s call despite repeated calls, she became suspicious and reached Deorti’s flat. Seeing it locked from outside, when she broke the lock and went inside, she found her sister’s bloody body lying in front. He immediately made a PCR call to New Ashok Nagar Police at around 2:35 pm and informed about this.
When she refused to sell her ancestral house, she became a thorn in the road.
While disclosing the case, Deputy Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that the links of this blind murder are related to the dispute of an ancestral house located in Kolkata. Arrested husband and wife from professor’s house in Kolkata He was living as a tenant in the ancestral house, while the professor’s entire family had settled in Delhi. The accused couple wanted to buy this expensive ancestral house for a long time. The professor’s parents and his two siblings were ready to sell the property, but Dr. Debosmita did not want to sell her ancestral land and memories at any cost.

The accused tried many times to convince Debosmita, but when she did not agree, they hatched a sinister conspiracy to murder her to remove the fork in the road. The accused couple reached Delhi from Kolkata and entered the flat on Wednesday and brutally murdered Dr. Debosmita. After committing the crime, the accused locked the door from outside and fled back to Kolkata. With the help of scientific evidence and technical surveillance, the police have arrested the accused from Kolkata itself. At present, he is being brought to Delhi on transit remand for further questioning.
