Pakistan surrenders before clash with Team India in Asian Games? Big names like Babar-Rizwan out

Pakistan on Wednesday announced a 15-member squad, led by opener Sahibzada Farhan, in which most of the players are inexperienced, for the men’s T20 cricket competition of the Asian Games to be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
Senior star players like Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf and Shadab Khan have not been included in the team.
Farhan will captain Pakistan for the first time in an international tournament.
Abdul Samad, who has played five T20 Internationals, has been made the vice captain.
Only Abrar Ahmed, Usman Khan and Saim Ayub included in the team have played adequate international cricket recently.
Four members of the team, Akif Javed, Ali Raza, Maaz Sadaqat and Saad Masood have not yet made their T20 International debut.
The Asian Games will be held in Aichi-Nagoya from September 19 to October 4 and the 10-team men’s T20 tournament will be played at Korogi Athletic Park in Aichi Prefecture from September 24 to October 3.
This tournament can become a means of qualification for cricket’s entry in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

Of the 15 players selected, 14 are also part of the National Cricket Academy’s limited overs camp which is starting from June 15 in Lahore.
The team is as follows:
Sahibzada Farhan (captain), Abdul Samad, Abrar Ahmed, Ahmed Daniyal, Akif Javed, Ali Raza, Arafat Manhas, Haider Ali, Hasan Nawaz, Maaz Sadaqat, Mohammad Salman Mirza, Saad Masood, Saeem Ayub, Sufiyan Mokim and Usman Khan.
