There is not much time left for the monsoon season. Rain showers provide relief from the heat, and the atmosphere becomes very pleasant during this time. Your indoor plants become even more beautiful during the rainy season.

If you want to decorate your balcony with plants during monsoon, here are some excellent flowers to plant. Adding these plants to your home during the rainy season will transform your balcony into an attractive garden. Let us share some special plants you can grow at home.

Zinnia

You can plant Zinnia during monsoon at your home. These plants have very bright, vibrant colors including red, orange, yellow, white, and purple. Zinnia flowers love sunlight and can be grown from seeds or cuttings.

You can plant at least two Zinnia plants in an 8 to 10 inch pot. When planted this way, you will see flowers of two different colors blooming together, making your balcony look beautiful.

Balsam

Balsam plant is considered the best choice to beautify your garden during the rainy season. It is very suitable for shady balconies and pots, and requires minimal care.

Balsam grows well in moist, shady conditions, which is why it thrives during monsoon. Its colorful flowers make the balcony look more attractive and vibrant.

Marigold

Marigold is a popular flowering plant that flourishes especially during the rainy season. Although it flowers throughout the year, monsoon season brings a large number of colorful blooms that increase the beauty of your balcony and garden manifold.

Marigolds also have fragrant properties that help keep away many types of insects common during the rainy season. You can easily grow marigolds from seeds during monsoon by placing seeds in a pot on your balcony, where they will grow quickly with rainwater and bloom profusely.

Hibiscus

While you can plant Hibiscus in any season, the rainy season is ideal for planting. Its red flowers are quite beautiful and make an excellent addition to your balcony.

You can plant Hibiscus in two ways during monsoon: from cuttings or from a branch at least 6 inches long. Fill a clean vessel with water and place healthy hibiscus cuttings in it so the lower part remains immersed. Keep the vessel in a place with mild light but no direct sunlight.

Within 10 to 15 days, new roots will develop on the cutting. Once roots form, you can plant it in soil to grow a new hibiscus plant and beautify your balcony.
