Bareilly Police Takes Action Against Criminals
In Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh, police have launched a major crackdown against criminals and those who threaten public order. Under the strict instructions of SSP Anurag Arya, history sheets have been opened against 12 accused individuals from various police station areas across the district. Among these names, one stands out prominently: Surkesh Sharma, a dismissed constable of Uttar Pradesh Police, who already faces multiple serious criminal cases.
Bareilly Police have made it clear that the activities of such anti-social elements will now be monitored 24 hours a day to maintain complete peace and law and order throughout the district. Surkesh Sharma, a resident of Langura village in the Bhamora police station area, was previously employed by the police department but was dismissed after his criminal activities came to light.
Dismissed Constable Faces 17 Cases
According to police records, a total of 17 cases are registered against Surkesh under serious charges including rape, murderous assault, extortion, and assault. Based on confidential reports from Bareilly Police, the Chandauli Police Administration had already taken major departmental action and dismissed him from service. Bareilly Police has now decided to open his history sheet and maintain close surveillance over his every movement.
Expanded Watch List Across Multiple Police Stations
Acting on SSP Anurag Arya’s instructions, several other dangerous criminals from different police stations have also been added to the police watch list.
Bhamora Police Station: History sheets have been opened for Dharmendra, a resident of Langura village, in connection with robbery cases. Residents of Chandaua involved in vehicle theft cases, along with Makulal alias Michael and Noorhasan from Kuna Shadipur, have also been declared history sheeters.
Devarniya Police Station: The history sheets of Vikar Ahmed, Mohalla resident Mahtab, Chanda from Mudia Jagir, and Usman Shah alias Raja from Dandi Hamir have been opened. These individuals are involved in cases related to cow slaughter and are now under police surveillance.
Kila Police Station: The history sheets of Abid alias Babu and Rashid, residents of Surkha Chaudhary Pond, have been opened on serious charges of cow slaughter.
CBganj Police Station: Rahees, a resident of Tiliapur, has been included in the strict monitoring list.
Aliganj Police Station: A history sheet has been opened against Nakatpur resident Rajveer Singh in cases involving cow slaughter and attempted murder.
Round-the-Clock Surveillance on Criminal Activities
Senior police officers in Bareilly have emphasized that opening history sheets is not merely a paperwork exercise. The objective is to maintain direct ground-level surveillance of every activity of these dangerous individuals. Local police stations will regularly review their attendance and conduct checks, and any suspicious activity will prompt immediate strict legal action.
SSP Anurag Arya has taken a firm stance on this initiative, stating that creating a completely fear-free environment for the general public is the top priority of Bareilly Police. He warned in clear and strong terms that there will be no leniency whatsoever in taking action against any criminal, regardless of their influential background.
The police department is sending a strong message to individuals who turn to crime, emphasizing that the trust of the general public in law enforcement and order must always remain unbroken.
