On the special occasion of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, CM Yogi also wrote a letter to the people of the state. Along with this, the Chief Minister has also made a passionate appeal to all the elderly people of the state to take special care of their health and make yoga a part of their daily lifestyle.

The Chief Minister told the people of the state that the Uttar Pradesh government has taken a big and important decision of giving a pension of Rs 1500 every month to the elderly and destitute women to give them the right to live a respectable life in the society. The real objective of the government is that the elderly and women who are financially weak should be able to meet their daily essential needs and the expenses of medicine and water themselves. After this decision, they will no longer need to depend on anyone else for their expenses or lend a helping hand to anyone.
CM Yogi expressed deep concern over the increasing loneliness of the elderly and old age homes.
Talking about today’s changing times, CM Yogi said about the society. A bitter reality was also put forward. He said that due to changing lifestyle the distances in many families are continuously increasing. Due to employment, education and other reasons, today’s young generation has started living away from their homes in big cities, which is directly impacting the elders of the house and they are forced to face loneliness.
He further said that in today’s time the increasing number of old age homes is a matter of great concern for the entire society. Parents, who have spent their whole life’s hard work and hard work to create a beautiful future for their children, should get the support, affection and cooperation of their loved ones in this last phase of their life.

The Uttar Pradesh government is working seriously to provide not only pension but also all kinds of best facilities to destitute women and elderly people.
