UFC White House results: Justin Gaethje pulls off massive upset in front of Donald Trump

Justin Gaethje etched his name into the record books after beating Ilia Topuria to become the new UFC Lightweight Champion in the historic White House event. It was one of the biggest upsets in UFC history.

Gaethje vs Topuria

Gaethje started the fight with some jabs and overhand rights, and one jab opened a cut on Topuria’s face. The champion was coming down in the first round with some exchanges, but Gaethje sustained.

Both fighters began the second round on a high note. Topuria was looking effective in the second as he hurt Gaethje several times and was looking for a finish with submission attempts but failed to do so.

Gaethje rocked Topuria in the third round with some heavy shots, and after round three, Topuria’s corner called for the doctor. Topuria’s face became a mess, but he continued the fight, and his eyes were completely swollen.

After completing the fourth round, Topuria could not get off his stool, and with that, Gaethje became the new champion.

Gane vs Pereira

Ciryl Gane gave one of the best performances in recent UFC history at the marquee White House event as he knocked out Alex Pereira amidst a torrent of strikes in the second round. The French heavyweight kept pushing Pereira to the edge from the first round, starting with some low kicks.

In the second round, Gane caught Pereira with a jab and easily finished him. With the victory, Gane has once again become the interim UFC heavyweight champion.

O’Malley vs Zahabi

Sean O’Malley won his back-to-back fights after knocking out Aiemann Zahabi in the second round. O’Malley ended Zahabi’s seven-win streak.

O’Malley hurt Zahabi in the first round with early exchanges, but didn’t do much damage. In the second round, Zahabi responded with some low kicks and was successful in landing heavier shots on him.

In the final moments of round two, O’Malley landed a clean right hand on Zahabi’s jaw and knocked him out to secure a comfortable victory.

Hokit vs Lewis

Josh Hokit maintained his undefeated streak as he knocked out Derrick Lewis in the second round. The number five-ranked heavyweight was dominant in every minute with his speed and movement.

Hokit took down Lewis in the first round and didn’t give him any chance to come back. Lewis was exhausted in the second round, and Hokit, with multiple heavy shots, took Lewis out in the final moments of the second round.

Ruffy vs Chandler

Mauricio Ruffy finished Michael Chandler in just 31 seconds before he found any range in the fight. It was one-way traffic from Ruffy as he threw an uppercut and two spinning wheel kicks to put Chandler away, finishing him in style.

Nickal vs Daukaus

Bo Nickal secured the most impressive victory of his career after defeating Kyle Daukaus in the first minute of the fight. Nickal dominated from the first second by landing a cut on Daukaus’ forehead and then connecting a right hook with a follow-up left that put Daukaus on the deck.

The subsequent elbows and punches sealed the victory for Nickal.

Lopes vs Garcia

Diego Lopes started the UFC White House event with a bang as he defeated Steve Garcia in the first fight of the evening. Lopes knocked out Garcia in the second round to give a wild opener for the fans in Washington.

Garcia put down Lopes with a clean left punch early in the second round, but the Brazilian connected with some shots and wasted no time to knock Garcia down and secure the victory.
