India-Pakistan 2027 ODI World Cup match gets 84 lakh ticket requests for 34,000 seats
New Delhi: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed it received nearly 84 lakh ticket requests for the high-profile clash between and Pakistan in next year’s ODI World Cup. The marquee clash between the two rivals is set to be played at The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on October 10, 2027.

The stadium has a capacity of only 34,000, but the ICC has received 8,397,294 ticket requests as part of the ongoing World Cup ticket ballot. The demand for the tickets is significantly higher than the number of seats available inside the stadium, highlighting the massive interest surrounding the marquee fixture.
An India-Pakistan clash is arguably the most sought-after fixture in any major ICC event, and the demand for the tickets continues to skyrocket. While around 84 lakh people have requested tickets for the India-Pakistan game, the ICC has received only 79 lakh (7,900,944) requests for the final of the 2027 ODI World Cup, which will also be played at The Wanderers Stadium on November 21.
Overall, the ICC has received an overwhelming response for the tickets ever since the 2027 ODI World Cup’s ticket ballot went live online. The governing body confirmed that it has received over 120 million ticket requests from fans across 193 countries for the World Cup matches.
