New Delhi: Yashasvi Jaiswal roared back to form with a brilliant knock of 155 runs on the final day of the second unofficial Test between and New Zealand A in Christchurch on Tuesday. Jaiswal, who endured a difficult start to the series, returned to his best, helping India secure a draw.

He finished with an unbeaten 155 off 162 balls, which was laced with 15 fours and five sixes as India A reached 282/2 in their second innings before the game ended in a tie.
Yash Rathod played perfect support from the other end, scoring an unbeaten 100 off 122 balls. Despite being in a comfortable position before the start of their second innings, India seemed in a bit of trouble after getting off to a poor start as they lost opener Sai Sudharsan (11) and Devdutt Padikkal (0) cheaply.
However, Jaiswal and Rathod combined to get their innings back on track with centuries apiece. The two teams decided to shake hands, with the game ending in a draw after Rathod completed his hundred.
Jaiswal’s return to form a huge positive for India
Jaiswal’s return to form is a huge positive for India ahead of their upcoming two-match Test series against New Zealand, which gets underway on November 19. There were concerns over Jaiswal’s batting after his successive failures in the last three innings.
He was dismissed cheaply on 17 and 5 in the two innings of the first unofficial Test against New Zealand A before bagging a duck in the first innings of the 2nd unofficial Test. Jaiswal silenced his critics in style with his sublime 155-run knock, which also boosted his confidence ahead of the Test series against the Kiwis.
