Sebi extends digital audit deadline

New Delhi: Markets regulator Sebi on Friday extended, until October 31, the deadline for regulated entities to complete digital accessibility audits and resolve platform issues. Earlier, the deadline to complete the digital platform accessibility audit was April 30 and the timeline to complete the remediation of those audit findings and achieve full compliance was July 31.

Sebi extended the deadline until October 31, 2026, following various formal requests from industry stakeholders who needed more time to meet the legal requirements of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, according to its circular. In July 2025, Sebi had issued a circular mandating all regulated entities to ensure their digital platforms are accessible to persons with disabilities.
