Nara Lokesh claps for Balakrishna–Koratala film opening at Amaravathi

The much-anticipated Balakrishna–Koratala Siva film launch turned into a grand spectacle as the project was officially inaugurated with a traditional pooja ceremony in Amaravati today. Backed by Sudhakar Cherukuri and Sudhakar Mikkilineni under SLV Cinemas and Yuvasudha Arts, the event marked a powerful beginning for the high-profile collaboration between actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Koratala Siva.

The launch ceremony witnessed the presence of Andhra Pradesh Ministers Nara Lokesh and Kandula Durgesh as chief guests. Lokesh emphasized the government’s vision to position Amaravati as a creative hub and promote the creator economy with world-class film infrastructure. Durgesh switched on the camera, while Lokesh sounded the clapboard. Balakrishna’s daughter Tejaswini directed the ceremonial first shot.

Prominent industry figures including Suresh Babu, Gopichand Malineni, Venkata Satish Kilaru, and Sahu Garapati attended the event, symbolically handing over the script to the makers, adding further weight to the Balakrishna–Koratala Siva project launch.

Speaking at the event, Koratala Siva expressed gratitude to the guests and recalled his early association with Balakrishna’s films. He described the collaboration as a “blessing” and assured that the film would be a memorable treat for fans and audiences alike.

Balakrishna, addressing the gathering, thanked the government led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan for their support in strengthening Andhra Pradesh’s film ecosystem. He also highlighted plans to develop Vijayawada as a major film hub.

The Balakrishna–Koratala Siva film launch event in Amaravati marks their first-ever collaboration, already generating strong buzz for its commercial appeal and emotional storytelling. Industry insiders suggest the film will combine Balakrishna’s mass image with Koratala Siva’s socially driven narrative style, making it one of the most awaited Telugu projects in coming years.
