MV Electrosystems debuts with nearly 47% premium

New Delhi: Shares of MV Electrosystems Ltd made a remarkable market debut on Thursday and ended with a premium of nearly 47 per cent against the issue price of Rs 425 apiece. The stock started trading at Rs 519 apiece on the BSE, registering a jump of 22.11 per cent from the issue price. It surged 46.52 per cent to settle at Rs 622.75.

At the NSE, the stock made its market debut at Rs 520, up 22.35 per cent. Shares of the firm finally ended at Rs 624, rallying 46.82 per cent over the IPO price. The company’s market valuation stood at Rs 1,699.03 crore on the BSE.

In volume terms, 17.42 lakh shares of the firm were traded on the BSE and 175.38 lakh shares on the NSE during the day. The initial public offering (IPO) of MV Electrosystems Ltd received a whopping 188.85 times subscription on the closing day of bidding on Monday, driven by an overwhelming response from investors.

The IPO, priced at Rs 400-425 per share, was fully subscribed on the first day of bidding on Thursday last week. The mainboard issue was entirely a fresh issuance of equity shares, aggregating up to Rs 290 crore.
