Paper industry must embrace innovation, sustainability: Nikhil Chakravarthy

Hyderabad marked National Paper Day with a seminar organised by the Federation of Paper Traders Association and Telangana Paper Merchants’ Association at FTCCI, Red Hills. Chief Guest Nikhil Chakravarthy, Director of Industries, Telangana, called on the paper trade to focus on innovation, sustainability and value-added manufacturing, citing TG-iPASS as proof of the state’s ease of doing business.

TPMA’s Abhishek Vijaywargiya and Ashish Jain Bhansali, along with FPTA’s T. Kishan Singh and FTCCI President K.K. Maheshwari, urged the Government to cut GST on paper products from 18% to 5%. Several industry leaders, including Narendra Paruchuri of Pragati Offset, were present.
