Modi Asked Rajya Sabha Members To Stay Away From Lobbyists

Prime Minister Narendra Modi hold a meeting with Rajya Sabha Members of Parliament (MPs) on Wednesday and advised them on how to effectively communicate with their constituencies and ask to stay grounded. PM Modi asked not to be swayed by lobbyists and power brokers. The 36 Rajya Sabha Members include those who joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after quitting the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

The Prime Minister told the new members of Parliament to visit the library, look at the artwork, and become acquainted with the procedures as the older members are familiar with parliamentary procedures and the artwork. “In parliamentary party meetings, he points out that only a handful of people have been using the library…” said the second lawmaker.

According to the MP mentioned above, Modi claimed that there are persons in Delhi who will volunteer to work, seem amiable, and basically latch onto them. Another participant reported that the legislators were given a SWOT analysis of their social media presence and advised to behave in a manner that was appropriate with the media and online.

The Prime Minister also spoke about the importance of physical fitness and discipline. He encouraged MPs to walk whenever possible and not take Parliament sessions casually, adding that he himself prefers walking even short distances whenever feasible.
