Kapu leaders push for youth empowerment and entrepreneurship
New Delhi /Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary on Thursday said that the youth should not limit themselves to seeking jobs but should strive to reach a position where they can create employment opportunities for others.
A high-level meeting of representatives and leaders of the Kapu community was held at the India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi, with a focus on strengthening community unity, promoting economic and industrial development, creating self-employment opportunities for youth and enhancing social empowerment.
The ‘Samakhya–2026’ programme poster was unveiled by the minister. He stressed the importance of economic empowerment for OBCs and backward communities and urged young people to move forward with confidence and develop the mindset of “We can achieve.” He said Samakhya should work towards fulfilling the aspirations of the community and its youth.
Government advisor V Hanumantha Rao said the government alone cannot provide employment to everyone and therefore the private sector must be strengthened. He said Telangana has a favourable environment for investments and called for industries that can generate employment opportunities for local youth. He observed that true social justice can be achieved only when economically weaker sections are empowered to improve their financial condition.
BJP MP Dr Laxman appreciated the initiative to bring youth empowerment into focus through Samakhya. He said wealth creation should not be limited to individual benefits but should contribute to the development of society and the nation.
He announced that the Samakhya programme will be launched on a large scale in October 2026. MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra said bringing Kapu community members from across the country onto a common platform was a positive development.
He stressed the need for greater political and economic representation for the Kapu community and said that access to investments and banking support would play an important role in helping young people become successful entrepreneurs.
