IPL 2025: Rishabh Pant ‘returns home’ to Delhi, salary cut of Rs 12 crore! Kuldeep Yadav will go to Lucknow

According to the available information, wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant can once again become a part of the Delhi team, while left arm spin bowler Kuldeep Yadav can join the Lucknow team. It is being told that the management of Delhi team will be in the hands of Parth Jindal's company for the next two years. Under this, the team management has started the process of bringing back Rishabh Pant. It is noteworthy that Pant had spent a major part of his IPL career with Delhi and he was an important part of this team from 2016 to 2024.

Let us tell you that Rishabh Pant has played a total of 111 matches for Delhi. In the year 2023, he could not play the entire season due to an accident. Apart from this, he also captained the team in 43 matches in three seasons. However, due to some differences, he was dropped from the team before the big auction of 2025. According to available information, the biggest challenge for Pant's comeback was his salary. Lucknow signed him for Rs 27 crore, one of the biggest sums in the history of the competition. It was not easy for any team to include a player with such a huge amount.

According to sources, Rishabh Pant has agreed to take a big cut in his salary to return to Delhi. It is being told that now he has about 15 crores You can get an amount around Rs. On the other hand, Kuldeep Yadav's salary is likely to remain Rs 13.25 crore as before. It is noteworthy that Kuldeep Yadav represents Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket, while Rishabh Pant has been associated with Delhi. The Lucknow team could not perform as per expectations in the last two seasons. Under the captaincy of Rishabh Pant, the team had to face disappointing results and remained at the bottom in the points table in the recent season. However, despite Rishabh Pant returning to Delhi, the chances of him becoming the captain immediately are said to be low. Team management may adopt a different strategy regarding leadership.

Meanwhile, another big news is that former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh can join the Delhi affiliate. It is being told that Sourav Ganguly can take over the responsibility of cricket operations and on his recommendation, Yuvraj Singh can be added to the team. If this happens, there may be a change in the responsibilities of Hemang Badani, who has been playing the role of head coach for the last two seasons. It is noteworthy that in the recent season, Delhi had made a good start under the captaincy of Akshar Patel, but in the second phase the team could not maintain its rhythm and missed out on making a place in the last four.
