Gold and silver rates fall amid Dhanteras

There is welcome news for people planning to buy gold this Dhanteras, as prices of both gold and silver futures fell further.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures dropped by Rs 2,451 to Rs 1,41,644 per 10 grams, down 1.70 per cent from the previous close. Silver futures fell by Rs 3,782 to Rs 1,83,358 per kilogram, a decline of 2.02 per cent.

The price correction was attributed to shifts in industrial demand and changes in the geopolitical landscape.
