Anupam Kher voices Jatayu in ‘The Wings of Dharma’
The makers of Ramayana have released a new character poster of Jatayu, the brave vulture king who lays down his life in one of the most heart-wrenching stories of Indian mythology. Anupam Kher will voice the legendary character that will make his way into the movie.

In an exciting twist, the title of this character poster reads, ‘The wings of Dharma,’ which captures the eyes of the vulture king followed by an image of the bird in all its glorious wingspan. The poster also spotlights Jatayu’s bravery and selflessness that led to his battle against the mighty Ravana when he tried to save Sita.
Even though Ravana was far stronger than Jatayu, the latter continued to fight the villain to protect Sita. However, the injury that Ravana inflicted on him proved to be fatal, and Jatayu lost his life. Even then, the vulture king’s bravery and sacrifice inspired people to fight against evil. Anupam Kher’s association with the character has piqued the viewers’ curiosity about this episode of the epic.
The movie, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, also stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. Two-part, this film is slated to release globally on November 5, 2026. The makers have planned the second part to release on Diwali in 2027.
