Anthropic expands Claude certification program, partners with Pearson for verified AI exams

New Delhi: Anthropic has expanded its Claude Certification Program with four new role-based certifications aimed at professionals working with its AI models. The program will enable developers, architects, consultants and enterprise teams to validate their Claude AI skills using standardised assessments.

Anthropic has worked with Pearson to enable the global rollout and to handle credentialing and the assessment infrastructure. All certification exams will be identity-verified, professionally proctored and administered through Pearson Professional Assessments, Pearson said. A digital badge will be awarded to candidates who pass the exam by Pearson.

Four new Claude AI certifications announced

The expanded certification programme offers four credentials at various levels and job functions:

  • Claude Certified Associate: Foundations

  • Claude Certified Developer: Foundations

  • Claude Certified Architect: Foundations

  • Claude Certified Architect: Professional

The certifications are said by Anthropic to be based on actual responsibilities. They range from how to use AI in practice to how to develop applications and create enterprise-level AI architecture, enabling professionals to showcase their expertise in their specific role with Claude.

Pearson to handle secure testing and credentialing

Each test will be supervised, and candidates will be asked to provide proof of identity before taking the test, Pearson said. If you are successful, you will receive a verified digital credential from Credly by Pearson.

Focus on enterprise-ready AI skills

The new certification programme is designed to assist organisations in finding qualified AI professionals and trusted partners for implementation, Anthropic said. The certifications are given in supervised and identity-verified tests, which evaluate the hands-on skills needed for each position, the company said.

As the use of Claude continues to rise, the program helps validate the expertise of practitioners, developers, and architects so that enterprises have a tool to assess the talent pool of AI experts, Pearson added.
