Xiaomi Launches Mijia in India and Prepares to Introduce Major Appliances Soon
Xiaomi is expanding its goals in India past phones. On the occasion of its year in the country the company introduced Mijia—its worldwide smart home and lifestyle brand—showing a bigger move into smart home items and later big appliances. This plan is one part of Xiaomis plan to make its smart home setup stronger in India by bringing many different lifestyle and home products under a special brand.

Mijia is a name that means Mi Home. Now Mijia will be used for home and lifestyle products by Xiaomi India. From now on Xiaomi India’s home products will have Mijia by Xiaomi on them. This makes Mijia the fourth brand for Xiaomi India along with Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco. Mijia will be the brand for these kinds of products which is a big change for Xiaomi India and its Mijia brand.
Xiaomi has done a job in India so far with its smartphones and other products like smart TVs and tablets and AIoT devices. Now the company wants to make things easier for people who buy its products with Mijia. This will help people know about all the home products that Xiaomi is making. Xiaomi is also trying to sell products in categories with Mijia. Xiaomi wants to make it big with its home products and that is why it is using Mijia to make things easy, for people who use Xiaomi products.

Xiaomi Prepares to Launch Major Appliances
One big thing about this announcement is that Xiaomi is going to start selling appliances in India under the name Mijia. The company has not said what products will come out first or when we can buy them. It did say that new products for the home and things that make life easier. Like big appliances. Will be called “Mijia, by Xiaomi” products. Xiaomi is really going to make a lot of Mijia products. Xiaomi wants to sell these Mijia products in India.
In addition to categories Xiaomi wants to make its current home product range bigger. This includes things like air purifiers. The company also plans to bring products from its smart home collection, around the world to India.
Globally, Mijia has a presence in over 200 product categories. The brand is known for devices such as robot vacuums, smart air purifiers, electric toothbrushes, scales, smart appliances, and other connected devices designed to work together as part of a unified ecosystem.
This launch is also closely linked to Xiaomi’s global “Human x Car x Home” strategy, unveiled in 2023. The goal is to connect smartphones, smart home devices, and electric vehicles HyperOS, allowing users to control and manage everything from a single connected platform.
According to Xiaomi, the company has already solidified the “Human” component of this strategy in India through its smartphones, tablets, smart TVs, and AIoT products. The next stage focuses on expanding the “Home” experience by adding more connected appliances and smart lifestyle products to its catalog.
