Viral: Special advice from TTE to get Tatkal ticket, people watching the video said – You get a seat only if you are lucky
Tatkal ticket is no less than a lifeline for millions of people traveling in Indian Railways. When the seats are filled normally and a plan is made…at that time most people resort to Tatkal tickets, but everyone knows that booking Tatkal tickets is not as easy as it sounds. As soon as the booking opens, there is so much traffic on the website and app that sometimes even needy passengers are not able to get tickets. Recently, a video of Railway TTE Jitendra Mishra is going viral on social media. In this video, he told what things should be kept in mind while booking Tatkal tickets so that the chances of getting the ticket can increase. However, after listening to his advice, the reactions of people on the internet were no less interesting.
What should be done for Tatkal ticket?
According to TTE, many people make a big mistake. They log in to the IRCTC website or app 5 to 10 minutes before the Tatkal booking starts. He says that doing so is not always beneficial. Many times, the system automatically logs the user out due to being logged in for a long time. In such a situation, when ticket booking starts, precious time is wasted in logging in again.
He advised that if AC Tatkal ticket booking is starting at 10 am or sleeper booking is to open at 11 am, then it would be better to log in just 2 to 3 minutes before. This keeps the session active and the possibility of logging out is also less. Apart from this, he told another important thing, which many people ignore. Using the master list feature of IRCTC can be very helpful during ticket booking. In the master list you can already see the name, age, gender and You can save other important information. When the time comes to book tickets, there is no need to type all the information again and again. This saves a lot of time and can increase the chances of getting a ticket.
Payment also plays the biggest role in Tatkal ticket booking. Many times a seat is available, but time passes before the payment is completed and the ticket is lost. For this reason, TTE advised that passengers should prepare in advance for payment.

According to him, using railway wallet is considered one of the fastest options. Apart from this, UPI, net banking or other digital payment means can also be used. The most important thing is that the account or wallet through which payment is to be made should already have sufficient funds for the ticket. Time can be wasted in checking balance or transferring money at the last moment. However, sometimes despite all the preparations, the ticket does not get confirmed. In such a situation, passengers get waiting tickets. In this situation there are not many options left. If passengers wish, they can search for a seat in another train or can look at trains with alternative routes. Apart from this, waiting till the chart is prepared is also a way out, because sometimes tickets get confirmed at the last moment when seats become vacant.
