New Delhi: After 16 years, Aamir Khan confirmed the sequel to Bollywood’s classic movie, 3 Idiots. Now, the director has shared a major update on the film and revealed the plot of the much-awaited film.

The film, which became a cultural phenomenon, ended with Rancho aka Phunsukh Wangdu (Aamir Khan), settling in Ladakh as an innovative educator, while Farhan (R Madhavan) became a renowned wildlife photographer and Raju (Sharman Joshi) found stability in his professional life.
What did Rajkumar Hiran say?
Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter India, Rajkumar Hiran revealed that he and his longtime collaborator Abhijat Joshi are still developing the script, which will revisit Rancho, Farhan, and Raju years after audiences saw them last. The sequel will move beyond their college days and show that the three friends are experiencing mid-life crisis and are married with children. He was quoted as saying, “I’m still working on that script. There is a lot of work left. It’s primarily about what happens to these characters 15-20 years later. It’s not about college or anything. They are married and have children now. They are experiencing mid-life crisis, and so we will have to see, now what next?”
When Aamir Khan confirmed 3 Idiots sequel
