Apart from this, various central employee organizations are continuously demanding fitment factor ranging from 3.0 to 3.10. If the government fully accepts this demand of the employees, then the starting basic salary of Level-6 employees can be more than Rs 1.07 lakh per month. Along with basic pay, there will be a big impact on gross salary also. The total earnings of government employees are not determined only by their basic pay. Many other important allowances including Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) and Transport Allowance (TA) are also added to this total salary.
If the fitment factor in the 8th Pay Commission is considered fixed at the medium level i.e. around 2.28, then as per the estimate the basic salary of 4200 grade-pay employees will be fixed at around Rs 80,712. After this, when dearness allowance and all other allowances are included, the total gross salary of the employees can reach approximately Rs 1.19 lakh per month. Employees are also eyeing the outstanding arrears After the full implementation of the recommendations of the 8th Pay Commission, employees are expected to get another big relief, and that is their outstanding arrears. Since the process of constituting the new Pay Commission may take a long time to be completed, reviewed and the final decision delivered by the Government, it is extremely important to pay the outstanding amount as arrears for the period between the official date of implementation of the Commission and commencement of actual payments. Will be important.
However, the entire structure of the new salary and the actual picture of arrears will become completely clear only when the Central Government officially announces the new fitment factor and gives its green signal to the final recommendations of the Commission. Till then the employees will have to wait for the next step of the government.
