WhatsApp explores privacy-safe age checks for Indian users

New Delhi: WhatsApp is testing privacy-protective ways for users to confirm their age in India as it prepares to comply with upcoming laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, the messaging platform said on Tuesday.

The Meta-owned platform said age-related information is private and assured users that such details would not be shared with other WhatsApp users.
