Vivo S2 debuts in India: Price, features, 7,050mAh battery and availability

New Delhi: Vivo has launched the Vivo S2 in India, bringing back its S-series smartphone lineup to the country. The new handset is designed for the high-end mid-range segment and features a curved AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo processor, a big battery of 7050 mAh, and several AI-based features. The phone also has 4K resolution video recording capabilities on both the front and rear cameras, Vivo said.

The cell phone will go on sale from August 11 Vivo India retailers Flipkart and Amazon, in addition to through authorised shops. Vivo is also providing launch bonuses such as instant cashback, exchange offers, no-cost EMI and warranty extensions to eligible customers.

Vivo S2 price in India and availability

The Vivo S2 comes in two storage variants:

  • 8GB + 128GB: Rs 39,999

  • 8GB + 256GB: Rs 49,999

Silk White, Sapphire Blue and Regal Bronze will be the colours available for the smartphone. Vivo claims that with their launch offers they are giving up to 10 per cent instant cashback on select bank cards, an exchange bonus, up to 15 months of no-cost EMI, a 1-year extended warranty and Jio benefits.

Vivo S2 specifications

The Vivo S2 sports a 6.83-inch 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED screen, HDR10+, and up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness. It runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo processor unit, 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 256GB of storage.

The phone is equipped with a 50MP primary camera (from Sony), a 2MP secondary sensor and a 32MP front camera. The cameras on both phones are capable of capturing 4K video, according to Vivo, and the technology includes Dual View Video, AI Erase 2.0 and more.

Battery, software and AI features

It has a 7,050mAh battery that is supported by 44W Flash Charge. It is running OriginOS 6 on Android 16 and features AI tools like AI Creation, AI Captions, AI Smart Call Assistant, Circle to Search with Google, Google Gemini integration, Private Space and Vivo Office Kit. Vivo claims there will be three Android OS updates and five years of security updates for the device.
