Amazon Great Freedom Sale starts tonight: Top smartphone deals, bank offers and prime benefits

New Delhi: Amazon is all set to kick off its Great Freedom Sale 2026 at 12:00 AM on August 7, bringing discounts across smartphones, laptops, TVs, home appliances, fashion and other popular categories. Amazon has been rolling out teasers of offers on a number of premium devices ahead of the sale, making it one of the biggest shopping events before Independence Day.

Once again, prime members will be among the first to enjoy many deals ahead of the rest of the shopping crowd. Customers will also avail bank offers, cashback, exchange bonuses, and no-cost EMI options during the sale along with product discounts.

Prime members get early access

As per the previous editions, Amazon is once again providing early access for Prime members to some deals before the sale begins for everyone. This equates to giving Prime members the ability to buy things before they get low in stock.

For those customers that want to browse the sale, they can also add items to their wishlist before the sale begins for a quicker checkout at the time of sale.

HDFC Bank and Amazon Pay offers announced

Amazon has confirmed several payment offers to buyers this Great Freedom Sale. Customers who use HDFC Bank credit cards and EasyEMI will be eligible for a 10% instant discount on the purchase. Meanwhile, Amazon Pay ICICI Bank Credit Card customers will enjoy 5 per cent unlimited cashback for being Prime and 3 per cent cashback for non-Prime users. The company is also providing no-cost EMI, exchange discounts and extra discounts on the eligible products.

Smartphones, electronics and home appliances to get discounts

During this sale, Amazon will be offering discounts in several categories of products. Prices of smartphones by Apple, Samsung, OnePlus, iQOO and Realme, as well as the prices of laptops, tablets, smartwatches, headphones and gaming accessories, will be available for buyers.

The sale will also include discounts on smart TVs, air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, kitchen appliances, Amazon Echo devices, Fire TV Sticks, and Kindle e-readers, as well as fashion, beauty products and everyday essentials.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra sees a massive price cut

Amazon has already slashed the price of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra ahead of the Great Freedom Sale, so users can get a preview of the discounts that will be offered at the event. The flagship smartphone, which was released in India at a price of Rs 129,999, is now available for as low as Rs 88,000 on Amazon’s desktop website for some of its colour options. The same variant can be found in the Amazon mobile app for Rs 89,999. Direct discounts, without bank offers or exchange deals, are these prices, said the publication.
