Tiger Shroff firing: Accused caught on CCTV leaving hotel with bag hours before attack
New Delhi: In the Tiger Shroff firing case, a new CCTV video has emerged, showing the movements of the accused just hours before the actor’s car came under attack in Mumbai’s Juhu area on October 18. The footage, said to have been recorded on the day of the firing, shows one of the accused walking out of a hotel at around 4.12 pm carrying a bag. Investigators suspect that the bag may have contained firearms allegedly used in the attack.

About a minute later, at around 4.13 pm, two other accused can be seen leaving on a motorcycle. The footage has emerged at a time when the Mumbai Crime Branch is trying to reconstruct the movement of the alleged shooters and trace how the weapons reached Mumbai.
What does CCTV show before Tiger Shroff firing?
The CCTV footage is believed to be from the hotel where the accused had allegedly been staying before the attack. One suspect can be seen leaving the premises with a bag at approximately 4.12 pm. Police are examining whether the bag contained pistols.
Two other accused are then seen leaving on a motorcycle at around 4.13 pm. The firing took place nearly three hours later, at around 7 pm, when Tiger was leaving a football club in Juhu. Two assailants allegedly opened fire at the actor’s car.
Tiger escaped without any gunshot injuries. His driver and a bystander, however, sustained injuries in the incident. The CCTV footage could now help investigators piece together the movements of the accused in the hours leading up to the firing.
Police trace alleged weapon trail
The Anti-Extortion Cell of the Mumbai Crime Branch is investigating how the firearms allegedly used in the attack were procured and transported. According to PTI, investigators have alleged that two suspects travelled to Amritsar to procure weapons. Two women are then alleged to have carried firearms by train to Mumbai before handing them over to the attackers. Police are examining the movement of the weapons as well as the people allegedly involved in procuring, transporting and delivering them.
Mumbai Police has alleged that the firing was carried out at the behest of Anil Pandit, who police have described as a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. His alleged role and links with the other accused form part of the ongoing investigation.
Four accused brought from Delhi to Mumbai
Four people arrested by the Delhi Police in connection with the case have also been brought to Mumbai for further investigation. They have been identified as Kunal, 21, Sumit, 19, Radha, 23, and Babita, 23.
According to PTI, Radha and Babita were arrested at New Delhi Railway Station on Tuesday. The two women are accused of playing a role in transporting the weapons, an allegation their families have denied.
ANI reported that the four accused were brought to the Mumbai Police’s Anti-Extortion Cell on Thursday. Radha and Babita were subsequently kept at Azad Maidan police station.
Three shooters in police custody
Three other accused were earlier brought to Mumbai from Kota, Rajasthan. Mumbai Police produced them before the Esplanade Court on Wednesday after their medical examinations. The court remanded all three to police custody until October 31.
Police are expected to question the different accused as they attempt to reconstruct the alleged conspiracy, including the procurement of weapons, logistical arrangements and the chain of instructions behind the attack.
