Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana to NOT release in India on November 6, but on…, clarifies Namit Malhotra
New Delhi: Ranbir Kapoor and Yash’s much-awated epic, Ramayana: Part One’s release date was announced recently, which left many wondering if the film is set to release in India too on the same date.

Now, producer Namit Malhotra has clarified that the makers are aiming for a Diwali release in India, in an interview with NDTV.
Ramayana to release on November 8?
Namit confirmed to the publication that Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial will release for international audiences two days earlier, which is November 6. For India release, they are aiming to release the film on Diwali, which is November 8.
He was quoted as saying, “It’s releasing in India on Diwali.”
When asked about the November 6 release date announcement of Ramayana: Part One, he said, “So we are releasing internationally on November 6. The international distribution works from a Friday standpoint, so that’s why it’s releasing on the 6th of November. But in India, we are currently targeting the Diwali release.”

Hence, Ramayana: Part One will be released in overseas markets on November 6, but in India, audiences have to wait for two more days to watch the film, on November 8. However, the India release date announcement is still awaited.
Ramayana to release across 50,000 screens
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh announced recently that Sony Pictures will distribute the film across 50,000 screens in international markets.
Recently, the makers unveiled the English trailer of the film, which received positive reviews from critics and audiences.
