Priyanka Chopra joins Russell Crowe for sci-fi thriller Bluefly – Everything you need to know
New Delhi: Global icon is now set to star in upcoming sci-fi action thriller Bluefly alongside Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe. Directed by Nimród Antal, known for films such as Predators and episdes of Stranger Things, the film has been written by David Frigerio, William Eubank, and Carlyle Eubank.
The film is another addition in ‘s growing international film slate. The project will also bring together an ensemble cast for the film.
Priyanka Chopra joins Russel Crowe for Bluefly
made the announcement about the film on Instagram and wrote, “Onto the next.”
According to deadline, director Nimrod Antal described Bluefly as “an intense, character driven thriller wrapped inside a bold science fiction premise. It’s the kind of film I live to make, grounded, propulsive, and full of dread, and I couldn’t ask for a better cast or team to bring it to the screen.”
What is the storyline of Bluefly?
Set in the dense landscape of Congo, Bluefly follows the story of a grieving United Nations translator who becomes involved in a secret military mission to recover a mysterious aircraft that officially does not exist.
As a Special Operations team travels through dangerous militia-controlled territory, their mission takes an unexpected turn. What begins as a recovery operation soon becomes a fight for survival. The team uncovers that the aircraft holds secrets they were never meant to uncover.

The Principal Photography is expected to begin later this year on Australia’s Gold Coast.
