Ramayana world premiere in LA: Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi greet fans as Yash walks in with Radhika Pandit
New Delhi: , Sai Pallavi and Yash brought Indian cinema to the global stage as they attended the world premiere of: Rise of a Legend in Los Angeles. The lead actors, along with director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra, walked the red carpet at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures ahead of the film’s theatrical release on November 5.
Held at the museum’s David Geffen Theatre on October 27, the invite only 3D screening marked the film’s first major international showcase. Pictures and videos from the event have since surfaced online, showing the cast interacting with fans and posing for photographs.
Ranbir, who plays Lord Rama, arrived in a traditional outfit and stopped to greet fans gathered at the venue. Sai Pallavi, who portrays Sita, also spent time signing autographs and posing for selfies before joining the cast on the red carpet.
Yash, who plays , arrived with his wife, actor Radhika Pandit. The couple walked the red carpet together, greeted fans and posed for photographs. Yash’s appearance was among the highlights of the evening, with attendees cheering as he arrived.
The premiere also offered a glimpse of the camaraderie between the film’s leading men. Ranbir and Yash were seen sharing a hug on the red carpet, drawing attention from fans online.

Inside ‘Ramayana’s’ Grand world premiere in Los Angeles
The premiere brought together members of the Indian film industry and international guests. Actor Jada Pinkett Smith was among the Hollywood personalities spotted at the event, along with other guests from the entertainment industry.
Director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra joined the lead cast for the screening. Videos circulating on social media also showed the theatre filling up ahead of the first presentation of the film.
The event was organised ahead of the film’s November release, with the makers taking the Indian epic to an international audience. The screening was held in 3D and was open to invited guests.
The premiere has also generated interest in the film’s scale, visual effects and casting. With Ranbir playing Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and, the project brings together actors from different film industries for a new adaptation of the epic.
About ‘Ramayana: Rise Of A Legend’
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, Ramayana: Rise of a Legend is a two part cinematic adaptation of the ancient Indian epic attributed to Valmiki.
Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, portrays Sita and Yash essays the role of Ravana. The cast also includes Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, alongside actors such as Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Kajal Aggarwal and Vivek Oberoi.
The film’s music is being composed by Oscar winning musicians Hans Zimmer and , the visual effects are being handled by DNEG, the studio known for its work on major international productions.
The first part of Ramayana: Rise of a Legend is set to release in theatres worldwide on November 5, 2026, around Diwali. The second instalment is planned for Diwali 2027.
With its international premiere now complete, the film is heading towards its theatrical release, with audiences waiting to see how the makers have brought one of India’s best known epics to the big screen.
