AI adoption rises in India, but only 4% firms have data ready to scale

New Delhi: Indian businesses are rapidly moving towards enterprise-wide artificial intelligence (AI) adoption, with all surveyed organisations having AI projects underway, but data readiness remains a major hurdle to scaling the technology, according to a Dun & Bradstreet report released on Tuesday.

The report found that 69 per cent of Indian organisations plan to increase their AI investments, while 73 per cent have already seen measurable returns from their initiatives. However, only 4 per cent of respondents said their enterprise data was fully ready to support AI at scale. Nearly 58 per cent described their data as partially ready, while 30 per cent considered it mostly ready.

About 44 per cent are still planning or piloting AI projects, while 30 per cent are scaling AI into production.
