New Delhi: Vu Televisions has expanded its premium smart TV lineup in India with the launch of the new Glo Mini-LED TV series. The new lineup promises to deliver OLED TV-quality video and audio without the OLED TV price, the company claims.

The new Vu Glo Mini-LED TVs are available in a range of screen sizes from 43 inches to 65 inches with starting price of Rs 42,500. The televisions will be on sale from August 7 and include a three-year warranty, according to the company.

QD Mini-LED display with AI-powered picture processing

The Vu Glo Mini LED series comes with a QD Mini LED display and Full Array Local Dimming, which brings deeper blacks and enhanced contrast. It has a maximum of 600 nits HDR brightness as well and offers Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG for better HDR viewing.

Vu’s VuON AI Processor is used to power the TVs, which include AI-based picture enhancement, colour optimisation, contrast enhancement and upscaling. The processor is intended to enhance picture quality on both cable TV and regional channels and streaming, the company says. The TVs additionally have 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and G52 HDR graphics.

Gaming and audio features

The TVs feature 120Hz High-Speed Refresh, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and a dedicated Game Mode for smoother gameplay and reduced input lag.

The Glo Mini-LED series is a good choice when it comes to audio, with a 50W 2.2-channel VuFX sound system that includes dual speakers and dual woofers. It also features Dolby Atmos, Dolby Dialogue Enhancer and Dolby Surround Mode. The setup is supposed to provide a completely immersive sound experience without the need for an extra soundbar, Vu said.

The TVs have Google TV and Chromecast, Apple AirPlay and Apple HomeKit support. Other features include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, three HDMI ports, two USB ports and two Bluetooth voice-enabled remotes.
