Declassified: Operation Sindoor’ to reveal the untold story behind India’s counter – terror mission
India’s high-profile military operation, code-named Sindoor, will see its declassified version when the documentary series Declassified: Operation Sindoor uncovers the events around it in detail. The project’s teaser trailer was unveiled earlier this week (August 5th), with the series scheduled to air on August 15th, on Discovery and discovery+.

Declassified: Operation Sindoor follows the events leading up to, during, and following the operation, from the first preparations to its tactical and military implications. The documentary series will provide first-hand insight from defence officials, analysts, soldiers, and journalists.
It was a dawn attack on nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan Administered Jammu and Kashmir conducted under Operation Sindoor. The Ministry of Defence confirmed that the attack targeted terror camps and that it was a well-planned surgical strike. The operation came in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack that killed 25 Indian citizens and one Nepalese national, with India claiming to have retaliated due to Pakistan’s unwillingness to act against the perpetrators.
Moreover, according to defence ministry officials, the operation sent out a strong message to Pakistan that India would respond to cross-border terrorism despite the tension between the two nations, as both countries possess nuclear weapons. The series will feature several prominent military leaders, including General Anil Chauhan, Lt. Gen. Rajiv Ghai, Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, General Upendra Dwivedi, Lt. Gen. Pratik Sharma, Air Chief Marshal A. P. Singh, and others.
“The declassified series will present an inside view into one of India’s most powerful military operations, giving viewers unparalleled access to the people who made it happen,” said Sai Abishek, Head of Factual Entertainment, Lifestyle, and Kids – South Asia, Warner Bros. Discovery. “Declassified: Operation Sindoor marks the debut of our new franchise, Declassified, which will delve deeper into some of the most significant moments in history, revealing never-before-told insights and first-hand perspectives only available to us.”
Declassified: Operation Sindoor will go further than simply recounting history, offering additional crucial information about the Sindoor operation for those interested in the subject.
