New Delhi: The next guest on Koffee With Karan 9’s couch has been unveiled. Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan are returning to Koffee with Karan together after 16 years, and if the first teaser is anything to go by, the couple isn’t holding back. From Kareena appearing almost relieved that the celebrity chat show is ending to Saif questioning whether he belongs on it at all, their upcoming episode promises plenty of playful digs and unfiltered answers.
The couple will appear together in the ninth and final season of Karan Johar’s popular chat show. Karan dropped the teaser on Monday (November 2), offering a glimpse of their banter before the full episode arrives.
Sharing the promo on Instagram, Karan wrote, “She’s always been PHAT and his ‘gheenious’ moments have become the talk of the town…and I’m not complaining! Back on the couch after 16 years, they’re about to create a royal roar!”

Karan began by welcoming Kareena and Saif to the show’s final season, but quickly noticed that Kareena appeared particularly relieved about something.
When KJo asked her why, Kareena delivered a characteristically cheeky response, “Because, like, now we don’t have to keep coming on Koffee with Karan.” Her answer caught Karan off guard, prompting him to respond, “Thank you for showing your sensitivity to my last season.”
Saif, meanwhile, appeared to have his own doubts about being on the celebrity chat show. “I think I am slightly miscast on this show,” he admitted.

Things got even more entertaining when Karan asked Kareena who she considers the number one female star in Bollywood right now.
Kareena didn’t need much time to think about it. “The one sitting opposite you,” she replied, referring to herself.
Saif immediately stepped in with some husband-level teasing and reminded her, “You are allowed to praise other people.” A seemingly puzzled Kareena shot back, “What do you mean?”

But the teaser’s most unexpected moment came when Karan asked Saif about the colour of his Uranus. Saif didn’t miss a beat. “After bleach or before,” he asked.
The answer left Karan laughing, while Kareena appeared completely baffled by the direction in which the conversation had gone. “What is happening on the show?” she asked.
Kareena-Saif return to Koffee couch together after 16 years
While both Kareena and Saif have individually appeared on Koffee with Karan over the years, seeing them together on the couch has been far less common.
The couple last appeared together on the show during Season 3 in 2010, when they were still dating. Kareena and Saif tied the knot in 2012, meaning their latest appearance marks their first time returning to the couch together as a married couple.
Kareena has remained a familiar face on the show in the years since. She shared the couch with Priyanka Chopra Jonas in Season 6 and appeared alongside Alia Bhatt in Season 8, among her other appearances.
Saif was also part of the previous season, appearing alongside his mother, veteran actor Sharmila Tagore. Kareena joined that episode through a video message and spoke warmly about her husband. “Saif is my entire being, my entire universe,” she had said.
