‘Stop lying to this nation’: Rahul Gandhi accuses Modi of becoming PM through foreign help
New Delhi: Amid the ongoing controversy and Opposition protests over Special Intensive Revision (SIR), Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, accused PM Modi of becoming prime minister with foreign help.

Taking to X on Monday, Rahul Gandhi also alleged that PM Modi’s financial system is fully controlled and supported by foreigners. He also challenged PM Modi for an open debate.
‘Financial system is fully controlled’
“Mr Modi, stop lying to this nation. You became PM because of foreign help. You remain PM because of foreign help. Your financial system is fully controlled and supported by foreigners. Foreign social media fully backs you,” Rahul Gandhi wrote on X. He added, “I challenge you to an open debate about this. Any stage, any time. Come if you have the guts. You won’t dare, because you are terrified of what I know about you”.
What PM Modi said in Gujarat?
The senior Congress leader’s comments came a couple of days after PM Modi slammed the Opposition parties while addressing the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations in Gujarat’s Ekta Nagar on Saturday. He had said that in a democracy, the Opposition’s role was to oppose government policies, but it became an “obstructionist force”.
Mr Modi, stop lying to this nation.
You became PM because of foreign help. You remain PM because of foreign help.
Your financial system is fully controlled and supported by foreigners. Foreign social media fully backs you.
I challenge you to an open debate about this. Any stage, any time. Come if you have the guts.
You won’t dare, because you are terrified of what I know about you.

“In a democracy, the responsibility of the Opposition is to oppose government policies. It is our misfortune that the Opposition has become an obstructionist force. Due to the frustration and disappointment, they have created obstacles in the path of the country’s development. This is not opposition. This is obstruction. They have made this their political agenda,” PM Modi said as per ANI.
He added, “Some forces are engaged in conspiracies to divide the nation. After more than a decade of frustration and disappointment, these forces have now come out in the open. Who is secretly meeting whom abroad? Whom are anti-India forces supporting? Who is speaking the language of India’s enemies?”
