Who is Manav Sardana? Meet the entrepreneur who bought Rs 271 crore luxury penthouse in Gurugram’s The Dahlias

Gurugram: Entrepreneur Manav Sardana has reportedly purchased a penthouse at DLF’s ultra-luxury residential development The Dahlias in Gurgaon for Rs 271 crore. The transaction is being described as one of India’s biggest single-unit residential property deals and has once again put the city’s high-end housing market in focus.

The property has a super area of 17,200 sq ft and a carpet area of 10,500 sq ft. Based on these figures, the deal translates to around Rs 1.58 lakh per sq ft on the super area and nearly Rs 2.6 lakh per sq ft on the carpet area.

Two people familiar with the transaction said the purchase is the most expensive single-unit residential deal in India.

Who is Manav Sardana?

Sardana is associated with the Imperial Auto business family. He was linked with Imperial Auto Industries before the company was acquired by global private equity firm Warburg Pincus.

His father, SB Sardana, co-founded Imperial Auto Industries with Jagjit Singh in 1969. The Faridabad-based company manufactures fluid transmission products for the automotive and off-highway industries.

Manav Sardana has remained closely connected with the family business and serves as a director in several companies associated with the Imperial Auto group.

The Dahlias draws wealthy buyers

The latest purchase adds to a series of major property transactions at The Dahlias, located along Gurgaon’s Golf Course Road.

Investor Madhusudan Murlidhar Kela bought an apartment in the development for more than Rs 120.71 crore in April 2026. Former India cricketer Shikhar Dhawan had purchased an apartment there for nearly Rs 69 crore in February 2025.

In another major transaction reported in October 2025, a Delhi-NCR industrialist reportedly bought four apartments in the project for around Rs 380 crore.

Inside DLF’s ultra-luxury project

DLF launched The Dahlias in October 2024. The development spans around 7.5 million sq ft and features 420 residences spread across 29 levels and eight towers.

The project also has 15 exclusive duplex penthouses, positioning it firmly within Gurgaon’s ultra-luxury residential segment. The latest Rs 271 crore transaction further underlines the premium commanded by properties in the development and the continued appetite for high-value homes among India’s wealthiest buyers.
