Lop Babulal Marandi And Around 50 BJP Leaders Detained In Ranchi During Protest Outside CM Soren’s Residence
Around 50 leaders of BJP, including Jharkhand Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi and 21 party MLAs were detained outside the official residence of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

The BJP leaders organised the protest over alleged irregularities in the recruitment examinations in Jharkhand and sought action from the state government. The party also demanded a probe by the CBI for the alleged examination irregularities.
The protest has come after the students and job seekers in the state have been agitating against alleged irregularities in the recruitment exams carried out in the state for long. Thousands of aspirants have been demonstrating in Ranchi and the issue has been escalated ahead of the ongoing state Assembly session.
Marandi and BJP leaders were arrested for holding a protest outside the residence of the Chief Minister, after which the leaders were detained. The detentions were a part of increased security in Ranchi, while student protesters continued their protests on the issue of recruitment examination.
BJP has blamed the Hemant Soren government for not taking care of the concerns of students and job aspirants. The ruling side, though, has insisted that the majority of the protesters’ demands have been taken note of, and that the agitation has been going on.
The ongoing protests have escalated the recruitment examination issue into a significant political standoff in Jharkhand as the opposition is pushing the state government to take the matter to an independent probe, while the students are seeking further action.
