‘Cheap copy of Animal’: Yash’s nude scene in Toxic trailer has internet talking

New Delhi: The trailer of Yash’s was finally released on Sunday (August 9). While the trailer opened to mixed reviews, trailer’s particular scene featuring Yash nude went viral on social media.

Several social media users compared the scene with Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal and many claimed that the scene is seems “copied” from the ‘s directorial.

About Toxic

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, is a fantasy gangster drama that follows a father and a son’s troubled relationship. In the film, Yash plays a double role. The film also stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Huma Aureshi, and Rukmini Vasanth in important roles.

The film was initially scheduled to release in March. However, weeks before its release, the makers postponed the film citing “uncertainty in the Middle East”. It was then pushed to June. But, in May, the makers announced another delay, without announcing a release date.

On Father’s Day, the makers finally announced the release date of the film. The film is now scheduled to release in theatres on August 26.

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor followed Ranvijay, a son who has troubled relationship with his father, Balbir Singh. Following a violent attack on his father, Ranvijay becomes ruthless and sets out to protect his father and seek revenge.
