AR Rahman’s son Ameen meets with car accident in Chennai; sustains minor injuries

New Delhi: Music maestro AR Rahman’s son and playback singer AR Ameen met with a car accident in Chennai’s Guindy area during the early hours on Monday (August 10).

According to News18 report, Ameen and his friend sustained minor injuries after their car collided with a can near the Olympia Tech Park signal in Guindy.

According to report by the publication, AR Ameen was travelling in his car along with a friend at around 3:30 am on Monday when the accident occurred. The car was heading towards Guindy when a cab approaching from a side road collided with their vehicle, damaging both cars.

The Adyar Traffic Investigation Wing has now taken up the case and is examining the circumstances surrounding the car accident. Both vehicles involved in the accident have been seized as part of the ongoing investigation. The police has also launched an inquiry.

Ameen was hospitalised

Following the car crash, Ameen and his friend were taken to Kauvery Hospital, where they were treated for their minor injuries and were later discharged.

A passenger travelling in the cab also sustained injuries in the accident and was taken to Kalaignar Centenary Super Speciality Hospital for treatment, after which the passenger was also discharged.

AR Ameen has been carving his niche in the Indian music industry. He recently lent his voice to the Tamil version of ‘Chikiri Chikiri’ from Ram Charan’s Peddi and also featured in the independent track ‘Bheegi Bheegi’ alongside Dulquer Salman, Mrunal Thakur, and Jasleen Royal.
