Zoomtopia 2026: Zoom introduces AI agents, meeting summaries and new security tools

Zoom is taking its artificial intelligence plans beyond video meetings. At its annual Zoomtopia conference, the company announced a series of AI features that could change how people attend meetings, manage work and communicate with colleagues. The updates include AI agents that can turn meeting discussions into tasks, voice translation that mimics a speaker’s voice, and tools to detect possible deepfakes during online interactions.

At the centre of the announcement is a new system called Unified Context Layer, which connects information from Zoom meetings, chats, documents and supported third-party applications. The idea is to help AI understand what happened during a conversation and what needs to happen next. Zoom founder and CEO Eric Yuan said, “AI models are only as powerful as their understanding of your business, and that context makes all the difference.”

Zoom AI can turn meeting conversations into actual work

The Unified Context Layer will allow AI agents to use information from previous discussions and documents to help complete follow-up tasks.

For instance, if a team discusses a customer issue during a meeting, Zoom’s AI tools could help prepare follow-up work in applications such as Salesforce and Zoom Chat.

The company announced several features with different release schedules.

Feature Expected availability

Zoom brings voice translation, accent smoothing and camera correction

Zoom announced a feature called Translate Me, which aims to translate speech into another language using a synthetic version of the speaker’s own voice.

Another upcoming feature, Touch up my Voice, will offer real-time accent smoothing. Pose Correction will adjust how users appear on camera when they look away from the screen.

These features are expected to arrive between October and December 2026.

Deepfake detection and AI safety tools announced

Zoom is preparing a deepfake detection system to flag potentially synthetic audio or video during meetings, hiring and customer interactions. The feature is expected in December 2026.

The company is introducing administrative controls that will allow organisations to set limits on what AI systems can access and generate.

Zoom said its AI tools will increasingly work with external assistants, including Claude, Codex and Copilot, as it expands beyond conventional video conferencing.
