New Delhi: India survived a massive scare before Niki Prasad and Deepti Sharma stitched a match-winning partnership to guide the hosts to a four-wicket victory over Zimbabwe in the first Women’s T20I at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur on Friday, October 16. This is Smriti Mandhana’s first win as full-time captain of the Indian women’s cricket team. The Women in Blue have also extended their winning streak to nine matches, which is their longest in the format, followed by seven between September 2018 and November 2018.
