World’s most wanted GPU? Nvidia RTX 5090 shipment worth ₹4 crore disappears in Brazil
A Brazilian electronics distributor says two pallets carrying Zotac GeForce RTX 5090 graphics cards, valued at about 2.5 million reais, went missing after they were reportedly delivered to São Paulo’s Guarulhos International Airport. The value is roughly $470,000 at the conversion used by Tom’s Hardware.

Oderço made the allegation in an Instagram post, according to the report. No statement confirming the incident was located from the airport operator, police or Zotac. Incidentally, this GPU costs in India.
What the distributor has alleged
Tom’s Hardware reported that Oderço said the shipment appeared to arrive at the airport but could not be located afterward. The company also said it had sought explanations and received no official response before taking the issue public.
Tom’s Hardware estimated that the retail value could represent at least 63 cards, but it also cautioned that distributor acquisition costs differ from retail prices. That estimate should not be used as a confirmed unit count.

Why the wording matters
The RTX 5090 is Nvidia’s top consumer graphics card and is expensive in many markets, making a shipment of this value commercially significant. This particular GPU is extremely difficult to get as well, even with the sky-high prices, so a theft of a shipment of 5090s is crazy.
Until authorities or logistics records provide independent confirmation, it would be inaccurate to say the GPUs were stolen or that the airport caused their disappearance.
