Earlier, there were speculations that the film could be pushed to 2027.

Speaking to us, Girish Johar told us, “I think the good thing is there’s a lot of time up to December right now, and things, as you know, in the industry keep evolving. So all of us are hoping that it’s in the best interest of both the films and for the benefit of the audiences, the exhibition sector, and everyone in the value chain. All these movies, Avengers, Jumanji, King, are all spaced out from each other, and if that happens, that will actually allow all of them to optimise their numbers.”

Christmas weekend to have massive box office clash
This Christmas, four movies will be clashing at the box office – ‘s King, Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday, Timothée Chalamet’s Dune: Part Three, and Dwayne Johnson’s Jumanji: Open World.
While King is scheduled to release on December 24, Dune: Part Three will hit theatres on December 18. Avengers: Doomsday will also be released globally on December 18, and Jumanji: Open World will release on December 25.
