Samay Raina trolls Munawar Faruqui’s second marriage, compares him to Aamir Khan
Mumbai: Comedian Samay Raina took a playful dig at Munawar Faruqui for a second marriage by comparing him to Aamir Khan. In the latest episode of India’s Got Latent 2 Samay Raina said that Munawar Faruqui is following the footsteps of Aamir Khan.
Actor -dancer Raghav Juyal and Niharika NM came to the show to promote their upcoming film Bhai Tera Star Hai and during the show Munawar Faruqui was made target by the Samay Raina who hosts the show. Talking about Raghav’s upcoming film, Samay Raina urged the audience to watch the actor’s new movie that is set to get released in theatres on July 30. He said, “Par jokes apart, meri movie aa rahi hai 30th July ko—Bhai Tera Star Hai. Bhai, theatres mein aa rahi hai, so go and watch it! Aur agar bahut baarish ho rahi hai aur aap soch rahe ho ki ghar par OTT pe dekh lenge, toh aisa mat karna yaar!”
Soon after Samay’s statement, Raghav was quick to interrupt him, saying the film would not be available on streaming anytime soon. He said, “Kya baat kar raha hai? Mat kar yaar.1st August ko OTT pe nahi aa rahi hai. Arre, mat kar yaar! Waah, taali! Bhai Tera Star Hai film sirf theatres mein aa rahi hai. Theatre mein hi dekhni hai, OTT par nahi aa rahi.” Samay then asked, “Lagi shrat?” Raghav responded by comparing his theatrical-only release strategy to Aamir Khan’s approach. Juyal replied, “Aamir Khan sir jaisa game khel raha hoon. Seedha theatre mein aaiye, theatre mein hi dekhiye.”
Samay took the opportunity to troll Munawar. He said, “Aamir sir jaise game toh Munawar (Faruqui) ne khela hai.” Samay Raina seemingly drew a comparison between Aamir Khan’s marriages and Munawar Faruqui’s two marriages. The audience were seen applauding the Samay while Munawar Faruqui blushed.
Munawar Faruqui got hitched with Mehzabeen Coatwala for the second time in 2024. Aamir Khan married Gauri Spratt in July 2026, following his previous marriages to Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao.
