Saif Ali Khan ‘fed up’ of ghee questions: ‘Leave me alone’, says actor in viral Gowardhan Ghee ad

New Delhi: Saif Ali Khan has found a funny way to answer the question fans keep throwing at him. In a new Gowardhan Ghee ad on his newly launched Instagram profile, the actor plays someone tired of ghee talk, then gives the game away when his camera swings round and shows hundreds of bottles stacked inside his house.

The ad is set during an Instagram Live. Saif begins by saying he does not want to discuss the ghee brand or his viral moment. Fans will not let it go and keep asking whether his two-year supply has arrived. One of them quips, “From aura farming to dairy farming,” while others suggest he joined Instagram only because of the ghee.

Then comes the slip. Saif turns the camera by accident, and the bottles come into view. Embarrassed, he asks his staff to close the door and tells fans to stop obsessing and ask more interesting questions. The ad ends with an angry Saif shutting down the live session: “Leave me alone. Stop asking me for the ghee. Go check out the offer yourself. I am done.”

Saif Ali Khan KBC ghee viral moment

The joke goes back to late September, when Saif appeared on Amitabh Bachchan’s Kaun Banega Crorepati with Akshay Kumar to promote their film Haiwaan, directed by Priyadarshan. He went viral not for answering a tough question but for how he reacted to a prize. Amitabh said that answering the 10th question correctly would win a two-year supply of Gowardhan Ghee, and Saif exclaimed, “Wow, what?” Akshay could not stop laughing. When the host repeated the offer, Saif said, “This is it; this is why I came.” The reaction soon became a meme.

Saif later appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show with his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, where he jokingly voiced disappointment that the ghee he won on KBC had not reached him.
