Milky Mist Dairy to launch Rs 1,553-cr IPO on August 11
Hyderabad: Milky Mist Dairy Food is set to open its initial public offering (IPO) on August 11, as the Indian dairy industry increasingly shifts towards value-added products amid rising milk procurement costs and pressure on margins in the basic dairy commodities segment.

The IPO will open for subscription on August 11 and close on August 13, with bidding by anchor investors scheduled for August 10. The price band has been fixed at Rs133-Rs140 per equity share. Investors can bid for a minimum of 107 shares and in multiples of 107 shares thereafter.
The total offer size is up to Rs1,553 crore, comprising a fresh issue of up to Rs1,428 crore and an offer for sale of up to Rs125 crore. The offer for sale includes shares worth up to Rs75 crore being sold by Sathishkumar T and shares worth up to Rs50 crore by Anitha S.
Eligible employees will be offered a discount of Rs13 per equity share on bids made under the employee reservation portion. The company had also undertaken a pre-IPO placement, in consultation with the book-running lead managers. This included 543,789 equity shares and 25 million compulsorily convertible preference shares (CCPS), both priced at Rs139.76 apiece, aggregating to Rs357 crore.
The global dairy foods market is valued at approximately $920.25 billion to $1.06 trillion in 2026, driven by strong demand for high-protein and functional wellness formats. The industry is adapting to oversupply pressures in basic commodities by pivoting toward value-added products. In 2026, India remains the world’s largest milk producer, with fluid milk consumption forecast at over 221 million tonnes. Driven by rising incomes and urbanization, the sector is undergoing a major shift—dubbed White Revolution 2.0—moving from basic volume output toward value-added items, smart technology, and organized retail.
