Kalki 2: Sai Pallavi To Join The Sets On October 17?

It is well known that Pan-Indian star Prabhas is all busy with three prestigious projects. As Hanu Raghavapudi’s Fauzi release date is postponed, most of them are expecting it to hit the theatres during 26th January on the occasion of Republic Day. As the Pongal season is completely crowded with half a dozen movies, it might be a risky step. On the other hand, the makers also need to complete the remaining part of the shoot and post-productions works too to have the perfect output.

Well, as Fauzi is postponed some reports claim that even Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit will also be postponed to maintain a healthy gap between the release of these two movies.

Now, coming to Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2, being a sequel to massive blockbuster, there are many expectations on this sci-fi thriller. According to the sources, the shooting of this movie might resume on 17th October in Hyderabad. Well, Deepika Padukone essayed the role of Sumathi is the part one but she opted out from the second part due to various reasons. So, the makers are reportedly said to replace Deepika with Sai Pallavi in the sequel and the latest schedule will also include her on the sets. But Prabhas is expected to join the sets from December as he is busy with Fauzi movie.

Even the makers are planning to plan a separate schedule for Amitabh Bachchan in Mumbai later this month to complete his major part of shoot. So, the makers are planning to go with multiple schedules moving forward in phases with different cast members joining according to their respective shoot requirements. As of now, the shoot is going at a brisk pace and the further details regarding the release date will be announced soon! Being a sci-fi thriller that holds mythological elements, it needs enough time for the VFX works too!

Kalki 2 is being directed by Nag Ashwin and is produced by Aswini Dutt under the Vyjayanthi Movies banner. It also has an ensemble cast of Kamal Haasan, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Vijay Deverakonda, Pasupathy and Rajendra Prasad.
